Stacey recently completed her level 2 apprenticeship, fitting in her study around her role as a carer at Creative Support.
She joined the industry during the covid pandemic, working in a complex care unit before moving into her current role in 2023. Not long after this point she decided to enroll onto the Level 2 Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship to further her skills and knowledge.
Stacey has dyslexia, so throughout her course her tutor Gemma offered a number of different teaching methods and resources to support her study. Working alongside Stacey, Gemma adapted her sessions to meet her needs. They found that Stacey worked well through consistent teaching patterns so in-between sessions Gemma would email over questions for Stacey to complete, helping her to keep on track. By doing this Stacey was able to progress at a better pace, keeping engaged with the topics outside of sessions.
By following this pattern of teaching, Stacey achieved a Merit grading in her end point assessment, and will be enrolling onto the Level 3 Adult Care Diploma in the near future.
