The Social Care Commitment

As the vast majority of the people studying for qualifications with us work within the social care sector we want to share with you Skills for Care Social Care Commitment. This is a promise made by people who work in social care to give the best care and support they can. Service Providers and their employees choose from a number of tasks designed to help improve their care services and then sign the commitment.

It is made up of seven ‘I will’ statements, with associated tasks. Each commitment focuses on the minimum standards required when working in care and is a practical way to improve standards and is a key way of increasing the public’s confidence in social care services. It can also be used as evidence to complete the Care Certificate and other adult social care qualifications, or to show evidence of meeting Care Quality Commission standards.
