Intermediate Apprenticeship in Business Administration (Level 2)

Business Administration Apprenticeship at level 2 is a great way for you to start your career and level3 is a great way for you to progress it. This apprenticeship supports a variety of administration job roles in any industry e.g. executive assistants, secretaries, administration assistants, data entry clerks and office juniors.  These courses teach people about business, administration and finance as well as helps them prove their competency and helps them to become more employable. The employer-endorsed content is up-to-date and relevant, reflecting the blend of business knowledge, practical skills, communication and team-working skills needed by someone who is thinking about or has a career in any business-related job.

Intermediate Business Administration Apprenticeship – Level 2

This course consists of six mandatory units and a range of optional units to suit your job role, to give a minimum of 45 credits in total.  Delivery will consist of tutor led learning and development in our offices or your place of work and work based learning.  The mandatory units are:

  • Communicate in a business environment
  • Principles of providing administrative services
  • Principles of business document production and information management
  • Understand employer organisations
  • Manage personal performance and development
  • Develop working relationships with colleagues

You then select the optional units to suit your specific job role, which may include:

  • Use a telephone and voicemail system
  • Manage diary systems
  • Store and retrieve information / Archive information
  • Use and maintain office equipment
  • Maintain and issue stationery stock items
  • Prepare documents/ Prepare text from notes using touch typing
  • Support the organisation of an event / meeting / travel and accommodation

As part of the apprenticeship framework you are required to complete Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT at Level 1 unless exemptions are provided.

Entry Requirements:

To access this apprenticeship with Vision Training you need to be employed in a relevant administrative role, dealing with a range of tasks.

What You Will Learn:

How to effectively support the day-to-day running of an organisation, including communication, personal development, team working and the principles of business administration. You’ll also be able to study optional units tailored to your job role and will develop knowledge and practical skills for effective business administration in any industry.

Progression:

  • You can study with us via our Business Administration Apprenticeship (Level 3) or further Level 3 study.
  • You might also want to consider Customer Service, Team Leading or Management qualifications/apprenticeship

Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration – Level 3

This course consists of six mandatory units and a range of optional units, to give a minimum of 58 credits in total.  Delivery will consist of class-based and work based learning.  The mandatory units are:

  • Communicate in a business environment
  • Principles of business communication and information
  • Principles of administration
  • Principles of business
  • Manage personal and professional development
  • Understand employer organisations

You then select the optional units to suit your specific job role, which may include:

  • Contributing to the improvement of business performance
  • Document production
  • Co-ordinating an event / meetings
  • Evaluating and maintain customer service
  • Managing information and data

As part of the apprenticeship framework you are required to complete Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT at Level 2 unless exemptions are provided.

Entry Requirements:

To study this qualification with Vision Training you need to be working in an administrative role, dealing with a range of tasks and with a level of autonomy.

What You Will Learn:

Our tutors will support you to understand how to develop your knowledge and practical skills to a supervisory level for effective business administration in any industry, learning how to effectively provide administrative duties for an organisation, how to manage personal development, understand effective business communications and the principles of business administration. You will be able to select optional units tailored to your job role.

Progression:

  • a higher level apprenticeship in a relevant area
  • University study such as BA (Hons) Business Enterprise Management
  • University study in a business administration related degree programme.
